Total Reuse have just delivered the first of 30 outdoor seating pods remanufactured from unwanted dinning rooms equipment. The furniture had been removed from student rest areas within the University and was gathering dust in storage. Total Reuse suggested that they could be used to provide outside seating areas in the newly refurbished halls of residence and the University said yes.
Using materials diverted from other departments, the team stripped the seating and table tops and replaced them with hardwood worktops salvaged from the engineering block. Two coats of green Hammerite paint and three layers of Yacht Varnish later and you have a perfect garden accessory.
