The UK Men's Shed Association (of which Total Reuse CIC are a founder member), are starting to raise the awareness of the health and well being of older men at a National level.

In recent months members of the UKMSA Management Committee have had meetings with several National organisations to discuss how we can work in partnership to further the cause of improving the health and well being of older men using the 'shed' as the vehicle.

A series of meeting with RVS, (The Royal Voluntary Service) has led to a formal agreement to work in partnership. The RVS is a volunteer organisation that enriches the lives of older people and their families across Britain. They support older people by giving time and practical help to help them get the best from life. So do men's sheds so it is a perfect partnership.

The committee have also meet with Prostrate Cancer UK and again it was very positive. Shed's could provide a place to support post operative care, something that is not available at the moment.
